What is the climate of Xi'an?

Xi'an has a warm temperate semi-humid continental monsoon climate.

The four seasons are distinct, with mild climate and moderate rainfall. Spring is warm, dry and windy; summer is hot and rainy, with many thunderstorms and windy weather; fall is cool, with a rapid drop in temperature and obvious fall showers; winter is cold, with more fog, less rain and snow.

The warm monsoon climate is located between the largest continent, the Asian continent and the largest ocean, the Pacific Ocean, the sea and land thermal properties of significant differences. Summer Asia and Europe continent low pressure connected, the ocean subtropical high pressure westward and northward, from the North Pacific sub-high emanating from the southeast monsoon brings abundant precipitation; winter strong Mongolian high pressure emanating from the northwest monsoon affects the local. Because the wind shear meets the requirements of the monsoon, it is a monsoon climate.
