Because grandma is seriously ill, Qiu Jin's parents live with grandpa. In August of the following year, Qiu Jiahe was transferred to Tongxi County, Yunxiao County. At the age of two, Qiu Jin went to work with his grandfather and returned to Xiamen one year later, living at No.73 Quanzhou Road, Gulangyu Island. The former residence is a French two-story building with brick and wood structure and four corridors. The appearance is light white, and the colonnade design is quite artistic. The whole building is octagonal, and the locals call it "Little Bagua Building". The second floor of the small building is connected with Huangyan Road by a stone plank road.

Lin was born here in 190 1 and spent a happy childhood and adolescence here. 192 1 year left home to study at Peking union medical college.
