Ukrainian Clothing

Traditional clothing, Ukrainian women's clothing is mostly streamlined, unique style: women mostly wear light-colored shirts, cuffs, collars, shoulders, chest and lapels embroidered with a variety of floral motifs; the upper body wearing a crimson, green or blue velvet or wool sleeveless blouse, the front of the blouse is partially folded, on the left side of the placket, with buttons buttoned; under the skirt, usually only in the tight petticoat over a short wool skirt, petticoat with a variety of colors; feet wearing red boots. Underneath, they wear a skirt, usually only over a tight petticoat with a short woolen skirt with a variety of colorful patterns on the petticoat; they wear red boots. Some have several strings of colorful beads or necklaces hanging around their necks.

Girls wear colorful ribbons or flower headscarves, and on festivals they wear flower crowns made of flowers and twigs; married women wear hair bonnets or flower headscarves.

Ukrainian men tend to wear shirts and looser pants, with a kangaroo, trouser legs tucked into boots, hemlines tucked into the waist of pants, wider belts, and a variety of civilian hats.

Modern Ukrainian men in addition to formal occasions to wear suits or textured tweed and cashmere coats, in general on occasions like to wear jackets or high-grade shirts, wearing a tie, the bottom wearing suit pants or jeans. Even when it's cold, Ukrainians are used to wearing only a single pair of pants.
