What should you cook with if you are not allowed to cook with firewood in the countryside?
Today, the use of earthen stoves is banned in many areas. In Hebei province, for example, there is a saying that you should not use earthen stoves since last winter. But there's no other way to heat the house, so there's no ban on earthen stoves. However, natural gas pipelines will be opened to all households this year and should be implemented this winter when pollution is high. So if you can't use earth stoves, what are the alternatives?
1. Natural gas. Just now, we have introduced natural gas to every home here, and natural gas will be the first choice after replacing earthen stoves. Natural gas can be used not only for cooking, but also for heating, bathing and so on. Because natural gas is also relatively environmentally friendly, using it is also a good choice.
2. Gas. Before the ban on earthen stoves, many rural people used gas for cooking. Although gas is fast for cooking, it is too laborious to change the gas canister and not very safe, so many old people don't like to use gas.
3. Using electricity. Nowadays, electrical appliances are becoming more and more convenient. For example, our common rice cooker, induction cooker, microwave oven, steamer and so on. In addition to cooking, you can also use electricity for heating and so on. But if all use electricity, electricity will be too expensive, many thrifty rural people still do not like to use electricity.
4. Biogas. My family built a biogas digester more than ten years ago, and it has been used for more than ten years, and the biogas is still coming in. Biogas is also cheap and convenient, but it will be less common in winter because it can only be produced by sunlight, so it's a bit awkward to rely only on biogas in winter.
Especially in the era of rapid economic development and soaring prices, there are many left-behind elderly people, left-behind children and left-behind women in rural areas. They are under great economic pressure and usually use traditional firewood or crop stalks or charcoal for heating and cooking. This is a very economical way of heating. After all, these fuels do not cost money and reduce part of the family's economic expenditure. It is hoped that some experts will not take a one-size-fits-all approach to rural winter heating. After all, rural income is still limited, rural income sources are still very small.
Lastly, a reminder that the blizzard is coming, the weather has suddenly dropped, and the cold winter is coming. Especially for heating in northern areas, it is important to prevent nutritional and phlegm poisoning. Especially for farmers who burn coal for heating, keep the room ventilated, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, weakness and other symptoms, to get out of the house in time.
