Some people say that the quality of college students in China is not only worse than that of developed countries, but also worse than that of some developing countries. In fact, China college students' academic performance in basic knowledge and professional knowledge will not be worse than that in developed countries. The problem may lie in college students' comprehensive quality, comprehensive practical ability and innovation ability, so we should work hard on comprehensive quality.

In China's educational policy of "morality, intelligence, physique and beauty", aesthetic education should run through the whole process of education, among which music and art education are particularly important. This is absolutely correct. Art education is an important part of aesthetic education, and both music education and art education are the most important ways and contents of art education.

First, the current status and problems of music education in colleges and universities

The "music appreciation" to be discussed in this paper is not the same as the professional education of cultivating specialized artistic talents, but refers to improving the comprehensive quality of popularizing students' cultural literacy, appreciation ability and aesthetic taste. At present, the ability of music art education in colleges and universities in China is still relatively weak, and there are widespread phenomena among college students, such as lack of music knowledge and poor ability to feel and appreciate music. However, in the fill-in-the-blank part of the questionnaire, 42 people can correctly write more than three works by foreign musicians, accounting for 30.7%, and 15 people can correctly write more than three representative works by foreign musicians, accounting for only 10.9%. There are 32 people who can correctly write more than three China musicians, accounting for 23.4%; There are 16 people who can correctly write more than three representative works of China musicians, accounting for only 1 1.7%. Only 33 people can write more than three favorite music, accounting for 24.6438+0%; It is worth noting that there are 26 people who can't write a tune.

As can be seen from the above survey, most students still like music very much. Due to factors such as geography, environment or the importance attached by the school, there are considerable differences in music education received by college students before entering colleges and universities, but they still show very weak music quality in general, especially in the fill-in-the-blank part. The results of the survey are worrying. These problems in reality lead to the music curriculum can not play its aesthetic function well, but how to maximize the practical value of music quality education and how to make students realize the real aesthetic value and appreciation level in the short music learning process; Finally, improving comprehensive quality is worth studying and discussing.
