What is a Fire Lacquer Seal?

Fire Lacquer Stamps are used to seal the mouths of bottles, letters, and so on.

It is a substance made of turpentine and paraffin wax with pigment, which melts with a little heat and is sticky. Fire_lacquer_marks originate from the Zhou Tou_period of Eastern Cook.

Sealing envelopes with fire_lacquer began to take off around the 16th century. Used by the nobility or wealthy, it could also be used to take the form of a seal on important documents, or to create an airtight container seal.
