Dong drum is popular in Liping, Rongjiang and Congjiang in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province. The drum frame is made of Cunninghamia lanceolata, which is oblate and slightly arched outward. Both sides are covered with cowhide, and three rows of copper nails are fixed around the leather surface. The drum head is 22 cm in diameter and 6 cm in height.
