China has the largest cutter suction ship, can it be used to dredge the Yellow River sediment?

In recent years, with the improvement of China's infrastructure level, there have been comments about the navigation of the Yellow River, which have been fermented on the Internet again and again. Although in most cases, they have come to nothing, but the people have been tirelessly making suggestions on the navigation of the Yellow River, especially in Henan and Shandong in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River. At present, among all the discussions about the navigation of the Yellow River, there are two methods with the highest voice. The first is to divert the Yellow River to the Weihe River to reduce the sediment content in the upper reaches, and the second is to dredge the sediment of the Yellow River with the Tiankun.

With regard to the diversion of the Yellow River to the Weihe River, we don't discuss this issue too much. We mainly discuss whether it is feasible to dredge the Yellow River sediment with Tiankun. In the eyes of many people, Tiankun, a dredger built in China, is the largest and most advanced cutter-suction dredger in Asia, with an hourly dredging capacity of 6, cubic meters, and can discharge the sediment as far as 15 kilometers away. From the superficial data, this idea seems to be really feasible, but in fact it doesn't work at all in the actual operation process.

from the ship's point of view, the design of Tiankun is based on the ocean, and the Yellow River simply doesn't have enough depth for Tiankun to sail. Tiankun, which has lost its sailing power, is no different from land dredging equipment, so it is not necessary to go near and far to start Tiankun. More importantly, from the perspective of environmental protection, large cutter suction dredgers will not only destroy the ecological balance of the river itself, but also destroy the surrounding environment along the river.

Although the Yellow River is a world-class long river, it can't be compared with the ocean at all, far from being like the ocean, and it has super purification and absorption capacity. Moreover, the silt dredged from the Yellow River is not the "sand" in traditional rivers, but is no different from the loess on the Loess Plateau. It has no building use value, but will pollute the surrounding environment.

just imagine what a great impact it will have on the coastal environment when the dredged sediment of the Yellow River dries, and the yellow sand all over the sky dances with the wind. In this case, residents along the banks of the Yellow River may have begun to oppose it on a large scale before the project has started. Based on the above situations, the idea of dredging the Yellow River with the Tiankun is completely unworkable.
