Can a small amount of olefins contained in gasoline be removed by water washing and separation?
You can't.
Correct method: There is a small amount of olefin impurities in gasoline. The simplest purification method used in the laboratory is catalytic hydrogenation, washing with concentrated H2SO4 and then separation.
If the amount of olefins is large, olefins can be removed by catalytic hydrogenation, and if the amount is small, olefins can be removed by concentrated sulfuric acid.
Only olefins and hydrogen bromide can produce anti-Markov products in the presence of peroxide or under light. The existence of peroxide has no effect on the addition reaction mode of HCl and HI.
