What is the working principle of DC engine?

The working principle of DC motor is based on electromagnetic induction principle. When the DC power supply is energized, the current passes through the armature (rotor) of the motor, which will generate a magnetic field in the armature. At the same time, the collector brush on the armature contacts with the brush in the motor, and the current passes through the armature to make the armature rotate.

At the same time, the magnetic field of the motor will also act on the magnetic field in the stator (stationary part), thus generating torque.

The brush of the motor regularly contacts with the brush on the armature, which makes the current in the armature reverse, thus producing an opposite magnetic field.

This reverse magnetic field will keep the armature rotating and keep the motor running. In this way, the DC motor can convert electric energy into mechanical energy and realize its work.
