(2) Tie one end of the nylon thread to the nail.

(3) Lay the board flat on the table, then pull the string tied to the nail over so that the string hangs over the edge of the table.

(4) Tie the small bucket to the dangling line.

(5) Now flick the thread. You will hear a very small sound because the string is rubbing on the large wooden board and cannot vibrate freely.

(6) To separate the line from the large plank, stand two small planks up from the side and place them on either end of the line.

(7) Now play the line a few times and listen to the sound made.

(8) Change the weight in the small bucket and play the line again. Listen to the change in pitch.
