2. Hybrid electric vehicles

It is his greatest advantage to combine the characteristics of electric motor with those of internal combustion engine perfectly. However, its pure electric cruising range is extremely short, generally no more than 5 kilometers.

3. Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle

It is also the most acceptable new energy vehicle for the public at present, and it is also an era vehicle for China to transition from a traditional gasoline vehicle to a new energy vehicle.

Plug-in hybrid vehicles also have an electric motor and a traditional internal combustion engine. Different from extended-range vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles use internal combustion engine as the main power source and electric motor as the auxiliary drive.

4. Extended range hybrid vehicle

Extended-range hybrid vehicle is a kind of vehicle that uses engine to generate electricity and motor to drive. When the battery pack is fully charged, it operates in pure electric mode. When the battery pack is insufficient, the engine in the car is started to drive the generator to charge the power battery and provide power for the motor to operate (that is, extended range mode).
