Yongle Palace is located in the east of Longquan Village, about three kilometers north of Ruicheng County, Shanxi Province. Yongle Palace, formerly known as Da Chunyang Wanshou Palace, was built in memory of Lv Dongbin, one of the Eight Immortals. Because it is located in Yongle Town, commonly known as Yongle Palace, it is the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units, located on the east side of Longquan Village, 3 kilometers north of Ruicheng County.

The project took five years to complete.

Main attraction

Yongle Palace is lined with Palace Gate, Wuji Gate, Sanqing Hall, Chunyang Hall and Chongyang Hall from south to north. In the overall layout of the building, there are no annex halls and other ancillary buildings on the east and west sides. In the architectural structure, the "building method" in the Song Dynasty and the "column lowering method" in the Liao and Jin Dynasties were adopted.

Sanqingtang

Sanqing Hall, also known as the Wuji Hall, is a shrine of "the heavenly statue of the stone of Taiqing, Jade and Qingyuan" and the main hall of Yongle Palace. Seven rooms wide, four rooms deep, eight rafters, one eaves and five ridges. There are five rooms in the center of the front eaves and five rooms in the back eaves, all of which are separated by doors, and the rest are walls. There are three altars in the north, which are dedicated to the Taoist priests Yuanshi Tianzun, Lingbao Tianzun and Taishang Laojun, collectively known as Sanqing. The four walls of the temple are covered with murals, 4.26 meters high and 94.68 meters long, covering an area of 403.34 square meters. There are 286 numbers on the screen.

Chongyang temple

Chongyang Hall is a temple dedicated to Wang Zhongyang, the founder of Quanzhen religion, and his disciples "Seven Real People". The story of Wang Zhongyang's "seven real people" from birth to enlightenment is told in the form of cartoons in the temple.

Chunyang Hall (also known as Huncheng Hall and Lvzu Hall) is five rooms wide, three rooms deep, eight rafters, and a glazed tile roof with a single beam and nine ridges. There is a four-poster altar in the north of the temple. The front eaves and the back eaves are separated by doors, and the rest are walls. There used to be a statue of Lv Dongbin on the altar, but now it has been destroyed. Behind the fan-shaped wall is a map of Lv Dongbin, Zhong Liquan, with a height of 3.7m and an area of16m2.

The murals of Yongle Palace are distributed in four halls with a total area of 960 square meters. The Map of the Yuan Dynasty depicts a group of immortals prostrating themselves before the gods of the Yuan Dynasty: two immortals, Qinglong and Baihu, lead the way, and eight immortals, such as the immortal of Antarctica and the Queen Mother of the West, surround the gods of Leigong, Dian Mu, various stars, dragons, snakes and monkeys. , there are other military commanders, lux and jade maid are serving.
