My computer uses the company's local area network, how to improve the computer's internet access speed in the local area network?
In Windows XP, double-click the folder option in Control Panel, click the View tab, and then scroll the mouse pointer to the bottom of the window. You can see that there is an item "automatically search network folders and printers", which is selected by default and removed. In this way, when we print, Windows XP will not take the initiative to find the printer and install the driver on the local area network, in order to prevent confidential documents from being inadvertently typed into printers of other departments but not found by itself. At the same time, after this item is removed, when we access the local area network computer through "Online Neighborhood", it will not automatically find the * * * shared folder on it, which will speed up some.
2. Adjust the network card to full speed.
Press Win+Pause/Break, click the hardware tab, then click the device manager to open the device manager, double-click the corresponding network card under the network card, click the advanced tab in the opened window, select the link speed/duplex mode, and then select 100 full mode under it. Of course, if you are using a wireless network, just turn it to the highest speed. This is my wireless network card D-Link Air Plus XtremEG+DWL-G650+ Wireless Cardbus Adapter # 2, and I set its desired basic speed to the highest 54Mbps.
3. Get rid of irrelevant agreements
Open the network connection window, right-click the local connection, select Properties, and then delete unnecessary protocols in the opened window. If Windows 98 is used, TCP/IP-Dial adapter, Microsoft friendly login, Microsoft virtual private network adapter and IPX/SPX compatible protocol can all be removed, because these components are rarely used, and if selected, it will affect the normal Internet access and browsing of workstations.
4. Set an empty password to log in.
If you don't save sensitive data on the computer, just put some public resources, you can set an empty password to log in. In this way, users can enter directly without providing a password, which can save time and make it more convenient to tell others the password.
Press Win+R, enter gpedit.msc, open the group policy editor, find the computer configuration → "Windows Settings → Security Settings → Local Policy → Security Options", and then double-click the account: local accounts with empty passwords can only log in to the console, and set it as disabled in the opened window.
Next, open the Explorer on this machine, select Tools → Folder Options, click the View tab, and then uncheck "Delete Simple Files * * * Enjoy (Recommended)".
5. Log on to the LAN automatically.
If you need to access a * * * folder every day, you don't need to double-click "My Neighbors" step by step, then find the server, double-click and enter the user name and password before accessing. For example, if you want to visit a computer named server, the user name is User and the password is 8888, you only need to write a bat file, and enter the following statement in it: net use server IPC $ "8888"/user: "user", and then drag the bat file to the "Start → Program → Start" group, so that the system will use User as the user name, 8888.
If you are using Windows XP, you can enter your user name and password at the first boot, and then select the "Remember my password" option, so you won't ask us for the password next time.
6. Cancel the firewall
If the firewall is enabled in Windows XP and * * * enjoys the drive, then it is possible that others will not be able to browse the * * * shared drive in my network neighborhood. At this point, you can right-click the Local Area Connection, select Properties, click the Advanced tab, click the Configure button, and select the "Close (Not Recommended)" item in the window that opens. Because our LAN computer itself is connected to the router, we can consider setting a firewall on it. In this way, the machines in the LAN will not be attacked by the outside world, but the access of the machines in the LAN will be faster.
7. Multi-system fast mutual access
If you find that Windows 2000 machine is particularly slow to access 98 machine, you can press Win+R on 2000 machine, enter "regedt32", find [HKEY _ local _ machinesoftwarewindows current version exploreremote computernamespace] in the registry editor, find and delete the KEY under this branch, and then double-click 98 colleague's machine.
8. Quickly back up/update data
If you often need to back up data to a file server in the LAN, do you want to select the file on the local hard disk and then switch to the file server to paste it? This is too much trouble. In fact, as long as you know the name of the file server (such as file_bck) and its user name (such as user) and password (such as 123456), you can run a batch file now. The contents of the batch file are as follows:
set source=d:work
set dest=file_bckbackup
Net uses file _ bcgipc $ "1234"/user: "user"
xcopy %source% %dest% /e /v /r /y /z
Save it as batchcopy.bat, and then double-click this bat file to back up all files of d: work to file_bckbackup.
9. Quickly map drive letters
Open the root folder of * * * enjoyment machine, such as homepc, then select the corresponding folder, and right-click the "Map Network Drive" command to map the folder to a drive letter immediately. If we directly choose Tools → Map Network Drive, we need to choose the mapping path.
10. Cancel unused network drives
If you map a network drive and don't use it in the future, you must open the resource manager, click Tools → Disconnect the network drive, and then cancel the corresponding drive in the window as shown in figure 13. Otherwise, this disk will be mapped automatically every time it is turned on, and it will occupy more system resources, thus slowing down the access speed of the LAN.
1 1. Consider a shortcut to the * * * folder.
If you frequently visit a user's * * * folder, such as homepcwritingsoft, you can open homepcwritingsoft in the explorer, then drag the folder icon in the address bar to the desktop with the mouse, and then let go when the cursor becomes linked. If you want to access this folder in the future, just double-click the shortcut on the desktop, and you don't need to input from "My Online Neighborhood" layer by layer.
12. Type the computer name directly.
Enter the network path of the computer or the * * * shared folder to which you want to connect directly in the address bar of Explorer for quick access. If you enter comp (where comp is the computer name), you will enter this computer named comp, and you can view its * * * shared folders or files. Enter compshare, and you will enter the share*** folder of comp computer.
13. Direct IP access
If you have fixed the network card IP of a * * * computer, you can directly enter the computer IP in the "Run" window to access this pc without opening it from the "Network Neighborhood" layer by layer.
14. quick visit under the general commander
After opening a * * * folder in Total Commander, double-click its pane and a window will pop up. Select Add Current Folder to add it to the folder list. If you want to visit in the future, just double-click the pane and select the corresponding item to get there quickly.
15. Both dynamic and static IP are suitable.
If the company uses DHCP and the home uses fixed IP, it is a headache to modify the IP address of the network card repeatedly. If Windows XP is installed, the network card can have both dynamic and static IP: double-click the network connection icon in the control panel, then right-click the corresponding network card, such as wireless network connection, select the properties command, select the Internet protocol (TCP/IP) item in the open window, and click the properties button below. In the re-opened window, select the items "Automatically obtain IP address" and "Automatically obtain DNS server address". Click the "Alternate Configuration" tab, then select the "User Configuration" item in the open window, and then enter the fixed IP address, subnet mask, default gateway and preferred DNS server address, such as192.168.0.188, 255.255.0, etc. In this way, when our computer discovers that DHCP exists, it will get the IP address from the DHCP server. Otherwise, we will use fixed IP, subnet mask, default gateway, preferred DNS server address, etc. , which are192.168.0.188, etc. , very convenient.
16. Cancel the cache setting
Right-click a folder on your computer, select "Enjoy and Secure", click the "Cache" button at the bottom of the window, and then cancel the "Allow files to be cached in this * * * folder" item in the open window. In this way, when there are many files in our * * * shared folder, others will access this * * * shared folder significantly faster. If you don't set this, you may not be able to open the files in this folder for a long time, and the system may crash.
17. Gigabit network cards and 64-bit computers can be considered.
Gigabit network card and 64-bit computer, and installed 64-bit Windows. According to the test of authoritative organization, the speed of local area network access has been obviously improved.
18. Put the wireless AP/ router in the center of the room.
The wireless AP/ router is the center of the wireless network, so please be sure to put it in the middle of the room, so as to ensure that all network cards in the home can be better connected to it. Many people connect wireless AP/ routers in these locations, because residential broadband is only connected to the door of the living room. In this way, your wireless signal will be lost a lot, and the natural network speed will not be improved.
19. Turn on wireless 54Mbps mode.
Some wireless AP/ routers do not turn on G mode in order to be compatible with more network cards. At this time, they should log in to the AP/ router, set their wireless mode to G mode, set their transmission (TX) rate to 54Mbps, activate 8X mode, and set the antenna transmission power to the highest.
We'd better not use the wireless management of Windows XP, but install the program that comes with the network card. In this way, there will be more options, showing the settings of the program that comes with the author's network card, which has the corresponding 8X mode, which can be forced to 54Mbps. These features are not available in the general wireless management driver of Windows XP.
It should be noted that after forcing 54Mbps, the wireless AP/ router may not be able to connect to some wireless network cards in PCMCIA slots, so we must change the AP/ router back to mixed mode.
20.change the channel
In a wireless AP/ router, we can change the channel. Regarding 802. 1 1g, 1 1 channel is available, but only 1, 5, 1 1 channel is completely undisturbed, that is, it is used in the same area. Therefore, whether our neighbors have installed it or not .10080.000000800887
2 1. wireless/wired hybrid
The wireless AP/ router you buy now generally has four wired network interfaces. You connect the machine with large data access to the wired interface of wireless AP/ router through wired network card and network cable, and remember the IP address of wired network. In this way, when you press Win+R on a machine with a wireless network card in other rooms and enter the IP address of the wired network card to access the computer, the speed will be much faster! Wireless network cards and wired network cards have slow transmission rates!
22. It seems not advisable to download a vpn to limit the speed of other computers!
