Yong Dong Park, located in the center of Xiaonan District, Xiaogan City, is a collection of cultural relics related to the story of "Fairy Couple" in Xiaogan, with the theme of the magical story that Yong Dong, the filial son of Han Dynasty, sold himself to bury his father, went to Xiaogan Heaven and got married with seven fairies. The antique buildings composed of pavilions, terraces, buildings, pavilions, bridges and pavilions in the park are interesting against the backdrop of mountains and rivers. [3]
One legend is that ...
The most striking thing in the garden is the tree crown such as canopy and full of green tree, which witnessed the one hundred-day marriage between Dong Yong and the Seven Fairies. According to legend, the seven girls of the Jade Emperor were homesick and took a fancy to their filial son Yong Dong, so they made Huaiyin Tree a matchmaker and married Yong Dong. Yong Dong said, "How can a tree that can't talk talk?" The seven fairies said, "The trees don't say anything, so go your separate ways." : the tree speaks, and marriage is a perfect match. "Then, both of them bowed down, and the Huaiyin ancient tree began to speak because it was moved. Unexpectedly, when old Huaiyin got excited, he made a mistake, saying that "a hundred years of harmony" means "a hundred days of harmony", which made Yong Dong and the Seven Fairys have only a hundred days of fate. The folk saying that "one night's husband and wife are grateful for a hundred days" is spread from here. Not far from Huaiyin Tree, there is a filial son shrine with a square yard in which stands a white jade statue of Yong Dong and the Seven Fairies arm in arm. The main hall of the temple is hung with a horizontal plaque containing Yong Dong's life, and there are cultural relics, inscriptions, genealogy and celebrity calligraphy and painting about Yong Dong. Go north from the temple and cross the 100 stairs, and you can reach Sendai. It is said that the seven fairies were forced to ascend to heaven here. Depart from Shengsendai, cross the bridge and come to "Yaochi Wonderland". On the small island in the pool, seven graceful fairy statues compete with each other. Opposite Yaochi is a mandarin duck building, built by the water, with a pair of pavilions nestled up to each other. According to legend, this building is where Yong Dong and the Seven Fairies lived after they got married. Opposite the Yuanyang Building is a rice-shaped mountain, surrounded by Yong Dong Monument, Lisi Bridge, Qingfeng Pavilion and Yuyan Pavilion.

It is said that Qimei was forced to climb the "Hundred Steps Ladder" to "climb Sendai" on her way home from work, and she died with resentment because of that smoke. Surrounded by water, caves are winding and secluded, and rugged paths alternate with bridges, letters, pavilions and scenery. You can see the panoramic view of the park on "Ascending to Sendai".

Most people think that Xiaogan's place name comes from the story of Yong Dong who sold himself to bury his father, and his filial piety touched the world. Not really, because there were many famous dutiful sons in Xiaogan County in the old days.
Filial piety is the first of all virtues, and filial piety is a loyal minister. Filial piety is not cultural dross and will never go out of date.
Filial piety is the most splendid part of China culture and the most stable cornerstone of a harmonious society.
Xiaogan is the hometown of dutiful sons and a place where filial piety is the highest priority.
Xiaogan was founded as Xiaochang in early 454 and renamed Xiaogan in 924. The Dictionary of Ancient and Modern Place Names in China records: "Xiaochang County was located in the Southern Dynasties and the Song Dynasty and was named after its filial son An Dong. In the later Tang Dynasty, it was renamed Xiaogan. " An Dong, a dutiful son of the Eastern Han Dynasty, was born in Zhejiang, but the Han and Emperor refused to do it, and later moved to North Jiyang, Xiaogan County (now there is Jiyang Mountain in the south of Guangshui City). In addition, it is said that Meng Zong's hometown is also in Qingshan Township, Xiaogan City (now there is a bamboo hanging lane in zhouxiang town, Xiaochang County). Meng Zong, one of the 24 filial piety, was born in Jiangxia, Wu State during the Three Kingdoms period. His mother was seriously ill and wanted to drink bamboo shoot soup, but it was the middle of winter. Where can I find bamboo shoots? Meng Zong went up to the mountain to find no results, crying and touching God, so bamboo shoots came into being-this is the folk story of "Meng Zongdong crying bamboo shoots". Although it is a story, Meng Zong (? -27 1 year) but there is a real person. During the Three Kingdoms period, Meng Zong was once a common figure in Wu Dong. In order to avoid Sun Hao, he changed his name to Ren Meng. Yong Dong's folk story was originally an ordinary story of filial piety of farmers in Han Dynasty, but history chose Yong Dong as a model of social filial piety, which has been passed down to this day. In the process of communication, Yong Dong's story has also undergone obvious changes, that is, it has gradually evolved from a filial son story to a love story. From the evolution of folk stories, we can see the great role of people's feelings and imagination.
Since 2000, the original structural model of Dong Yong and the Seven Fairies has not changed, but the plot, characters and even ideological connotation are constantly enriched and innovated.
