Murals are an integral part of the cultural relics of Dege Printing Institute. Its murals are mainly distributed in large and small halls and above the external walls of large and small halls. In addition, a small number of murals were painted on the left, right and top of the entrance corridor, as well as on individual walls of the Tibetan Classic Library. The total area of murals is about 950 square meters, of which 95% are ancient murals. Among the many murals, except one in the Tibetan Library, which belongs to the early "Gate" school, the others are all works of the "Gama Ganzi" school. These works represent the highest artistic achievements and style characteristics of the Karma Ganzi School in Kangqu, and at the same time, they also make the Xiyuan one of the places where early murals are well preserved.
