Silicon steel smelting key points are as follows:

A concentrate

(1) using low manganese iron smelting, the requirement wMn<0.35%, the use of low manganese scrap, the requirement wMn<0.35%, the high manganese content in the steel will make the magnetic properties of the silicon steel sheet deterioration;

(2) iron pretreatment desulphurization, the entry of the furnace iron w [s]<0.005%

(3) Use of high-grade ferrosilicon alloy (low carbon and manganese content);

(4) Auxiliary raw material composition is stable, with few impurities.

B Converter blowing

Top and bottom composite blowing process, decarburization, manganese removal, good temperature control, the end point of carbon control at 0.04%.

C ladle alloying and bottom blowing argon

The alloy should be added uniformly, the amount of steel out of 70% before the addition of the end.

D RH vacuum treatment

Fine-tuning of molten steel composition to meet the specified requirements and control the end point temperature.

E Continuous casting process

(1) Due to the high silicon content of steel, poor thermal conductivity, the use of slow pouring, secondary cooling using a weak cooling system.

(2) The whole process of protection casting, crystallizer using special protective slag.

(3)Electromagnetic stirring is used in the second cooling zone to increase the proportion of equiaxial crystals and eliminate corrugated defects on the surface of silicon steel sheet.

(4) Continuous casting billet hot delivery, the use of heat preservation cart to prevent cracks.
