Where is Guizhou batik?

Guizhou batik is a traditional national craft with a long history. The so-called batik is the abbreviation of wax painting dyeing. The method of batik is relatively simple, that is, a special "wax knife" made of copper, dipped in wax liquid, and carefully drawn various patterns of flowers, birds, insects and fish on self-woven white cloth. Then dip it in indigo vat for several times, take it out, put it in a pot with boiling water to remove wax, and then wash it with water to remove floating color, showing various white patterns. The batik produced in Anshun, Guizhou Province is the most famous, and Anshun batik has detailed patterns and rich colors. Common patterns include mountains and rivers, flowers and birds, insects and fish, ladies, ancient cultural relics and so on. Overprinting dyeing commonly uses red, yellow, brown and other colors, which has the characteristics of ethnic minorities. Batches of batik printed cloth can be used to make women's clothes, skirts, children's clothes, umbrellas, bags, curtains, tablecloths, cushions and handicraft packaging.
