What is the root cause of avoidant education in China traditional culture?

The fundamental reason for avoiding sex education in China's traditional culture is that we are deeply influenced by Confucianism. Implicit is an important point of Confucianism, especially since the Song and Ming Dynasties, people have been deeply influenced by "Zhu Cheng Neo-Confucianism". What's more, it regards "sex" as a scourge, and Zhu Cheng's Neo-Confucianism further imprisons people's thoughts, which makes people even more afraid to mention the concept of sex. This influence continued until the reform and opening up. After the people opened their doors and introduced foreign ideas, their understanding of sex has changed fundamentally, and people have the courage to talk about sex. However, I have to admit that my sex education has always been a weak link in the education sector.

So what is the fundamental reason why China people always ignore sex education? I think the main reasons are as follows:

First, Confucianism, as the only orthodox thought in China's feudal society, lasted for more than two thousand years. Because of the strong respect of the royal family, the people have always taken Confucianism as the standard. There is a main line in Confucianism, which regards sex as prostitution. In ancient times, there was a saying that "the head of all evils". Under this idea, the ancients had many ideas.

Second: Sex itself is a relatively private topic. In fact, it was not only in ancient China, but also in ancient foreign countries. It was only in modern times that the trend of sexual liberation gradually emerged in Europe and America. Because sex education itself has its particularity, our ancestors' original clothes also covered their private parts, which shows that the topic of sex itself is not a problem that can be discussed in public.

Third: the lack of education, my sex education has always been a topic that teachers try their best to avoid, and even many teachers in junior high school skip physical education directly. The lack of education even leads people to lack understanding of basic sexual knowledge.
