Where is Jincheng, Shanxi?

Jincheng, located in the southeast of Shanxi Province, at the junction of Shanxi and Henan provinces, has been a battleground for military strategists since ancient times, and is known as "the screen of Hedong, the throat of the Central Plains, and the gateway of Sanjin".

Jincheng is one of the cradles of Chinese culture, with Du Gao site, Xia Chuan of Tashui River and other cultural sites. It is the birthplace of myths such as Mending the Goddess of Heaven, One Mountain in Gong Yu, Shimen in Chishui and Chu Yu in Shang Tang, and the hometown of famous monks such as Hui Yuan, astronomer Liu Xicuo, Kong Sanchuan, Guoguang and Chen Tingjing. There are 6767 cultural relics in the city, belonging to 66 national key cultural relics protection units, including Yedidai Temple, qinglian temple, Chongsi, Haihui Temple, Liu's former residence and Yu Xiang Castle.
