What is the principle of sheng?

Sheng structure: copper reeds are installed at the lower ends of several bamboo pipes and inserted into a wooden or copper sheng bucket with blowing holes. When blowing, press the hole at the lower end of the bamboo tube with your fingers, so that the reed and the air column in the tube make a * * * sound and make a music sound. When playing, except for the single tone, most of them use two, three and four tones for harmony. After liberation, Sheng carried out reforms. At present, there are twenty springs, twenty-four springs, thirty-six springs, small row sheng, row sheng (keyboard sheng) and other widely used shapes. Sheng's playing technique has also made great progress. Besides being used for accompaniment and ensemble, it has developed into a solo instrument. The traditional sheng is thirteen, seventeen and nineteen springs, and the improved sheng has twenty, twenty-four, twenty-six, thirty-six, thirty-seven and forty-two springs.

Traditional sheng used his fingers to press the hole to control the sound of that pipe. Improved sheng plus keys, one finger can control multiple keys, thus controlling more sounds.

Modern Chinese orchestras often use 36-reed sheng instead of traditional sheng, including tenor sheng, tenor sheng, tenor sheng and bass sheng. Their range is as follows:

Treble sheng (36 springs): G3-f? 7? 36(C4= alto C)

Alto sheng (36 springs): C3-B5

Zi Nuosheng (36 Springs): G2-F? 7? 35

Bass sheng (36 springs): C2-G4 playing techniques are the same as the improved sheng, which is developed on the basis of traditional sheng techniques.

Sheng's playing skills include: pause, leaning, jumping, three spits, broken spits, flowered tongue, mouthpiece, vibrato, polyphony, multiple harmony and so on.

Flower tongue can be divided into fine flower tongue, thick flower tongue and bursting flower tongue.

A famous Japanese conductor once said, "On the scattered chessboard, colorful places are the best time to show your personal skills".

The most obvious wind music, such as cucurbit silk, bawu and bamboo flute, all use the techniques of sheng-Shuang Tu and Santu.

Sheng's playing skills are the richest of all wind instruments. As the originator of reed instruments, Sheng's playing skills not only greatly enriched the expressive force of wind music, but also played a positive role in promoting the development of world music.
