What is the rural convention system?

For example, the rural convention in Bailu Village is fully known to the people through extensive publicity, which has the binding function of prediction, guidance and evaluation. After the "Village Covenant of Bailu Village" was drafted by Mr. Zhu, Bai Jiaxuan invited a stonemason, chiseled two pieces of green slate and placed them on both sides of the main entrance of the ancestral hall, which complemented the "Renyi Bailu Village" planted in the yard.

Later, Bai Jiaxuan called men over the age of 16, Bai He Lu, to the school to explain them one by one, word by word, and asked each man to teach his wife and children again, and students should also learn rural customs at school. Lu Zilin's title of rural convention is actually a management department set up by the government of the Republic of China to manage village-level cadres.

It is equivalent to the current towns and villages. Its power is still great. Personally, I think that under the change of old and new society, two titles with the same nature coexist, both of which have the right to manage the people in the village and the mission to solve the village incident. Villages and towns are required to set an example by themselves and be able to handle village affairs as fairly as possible.

The Positive Role of Rural Convention System

In order to play a real role, village rules and regulations must be integrated into social life and conform to social conditions and public opinion, and then they can be internalized into people's code of conduct and play an active role in education, standardization, guidance and evaluation.

He who knows the house leaks is in the world, and he who knows the political loss is in the grass. Work with the people's interests as the center, conform to the people's wishes and give full play to the people's role, and the cause will develop and the construction will be smooth; On the contrary, turning a deaf ear to the people's voice and being divorced from the reality of life will inevitably suffer setbacks and failures.

Because rural rules and regulations are close to the masses, life and grass roots, they are not as cold and rigid as government decrees and laws, and are easier to be recognized by villagers and observed by people.
