Finnish parenting board game opens a new world for the whole family!

This summer's family happy time is an indispensable good thing. Please buy it in the board game hall.

Recently, I read that magazines shared many interesting board games in July, so I will share the role that board games play in our Finnish life. Finns like to play board games. Every year, there is a selection of "Best Board Games". Especially before Christmas, the children's toy area of the supermarket always puts the board game in the most conspicuous position. Obviously, board games have always been one of the best gifts.

Board games are also a common game played by Finnish children.

When Alei was just four years old, the kindergarten teacher gave us a scale of children's living habits, self-care ability, games, language and sports. Teachers and parents filled in our observations respectively, such as whether we can eat by ourselves? Can you face failure? How many hours a day do you watch TV and play video games at home? Hours of sleep and so on.

One of the questions is, "Are children interested in playing board games, computer games or puzzles? Obviously, board games are one of the games that Finnish children often play, just like puzzles.

At that time, our observation with the teacher was that Alei was still practicing and didn't particularly like playing. Computer games, Waldorf kindergarten and our family don't approve of children playing at such a young age. Although puzzles are good things, they never seem to be what Alei is most interested in. Even though I bought it for him when he was three years old, I always felt that he was not particularly interested!

You don't like the first group of board games in life? !

It was his birthday present "Crab Game" when he was three years old, and it was also the first group of board games in Alei's life. The front of the picture is a combination of various shapes, and the back is a combination of various colors. You can play with either side. Crabs go there with dice of whatever color (or shape) they throw, that is, let three-year-old children learn the basic rules of board games: throw dice and take turns to play.

Although this group of board games is in line with the children's age development, Alei lost interest after playing several times, so I always thought he still "disliked" playing board games. I didn't realize I was wrong until I went back to Taiwan Province Province for the New Year when I was over four years old!

Cloud Gate Dance Collection is a big frog board game, and the first step of small children's body rhythm!

At that time, it was the Spring Festival, and the family brought back a board game of Yunmen Dance Collection for the children to play. In the game, each player needs to follow the instructions on the card. For example, you should circle each player with * * *, and make three circles with your body at the same time, inviting other players to become caves, crossing caves by train, learning some animal movements and so on. Although children can't understand the instructions on the card and need adults to help them read and explain, all children don't like to move, and Alei likes it when playing, which makes me suddenly realize that Alei isn't interested in playing board games, but that the board games he bought earlier are just "not fun" for him.

On one occasion, the card said, "You should sprout slowly like a seed buried in the ground and grow into a big tree." As a result, Alei really squatted on the ground, sprouted slowly, grew up slowly, and finally stood like a tree.

I was confused at that time. A four-and-a-half-year-old child who has never "learned to dance" and usually doesn't particularly like dancing, his movements are full of slow beauty, like a "modern dance", and the big tree stands quietly for a long time.

I feel ashamed now. Maybe it's never that children "don't like to play", but that I, as a mother, didn't find out what he "likes" and didn't work hard to guide them. It seems that the next time you encounter something that your child "doesn't like", you should not give up too early. I should think about the reasons in many ways and try more with my children!

And come to think of it, he actually doesn't dislike board games at all. Like another birthday present he received when he was three years old, it was actually a board game, in which he was asked to fold up the pieces of wood and then extract the patterns. When painting, he must find a way to keep the wooden tower from falling, and the person who falls will lose. He liked playing this game when he was three years old, and he never got tired of it.

So in fact, the mother was not careful enough, only saw the part that the child didn't like, didn't think about the reason why he liked it, and didn't make a comparison. Just seeing that the child doesn't like to play with one of them, she thinks that he really doesn't love it, and the child just naturally follows his own nature and plays with what he thinks is "fun"!

Two weeks ago, I found Alei at her husband's house, playing Kimble, a famous Finnish board game, with her father. At that time, I was surprised and thought, "Ah, my children finally love to play board games! In fact, as he grew older, his understanding improved, and naturally he began to play games that needed more strategies.

Fall in love with Finland's classic board game

Alei's father, who has always liked board games, bought Alei's Finnish classic board game "African Star" as a birthday present on Christmas Day when Alei was four years old. The "African Star" board game was invented by Finns, and it is said that it has always been an eternal classic in the Finnish board game industry. As the name implies, this game is a map of Africa in Zhang greatly, with the names of different cities and countries marked on it. Whoever finds the gem named "Star of Africa" first will have a chance to win, just a chance, but not necessarily, because after the gem of "Star of Africa" appears, the next person who finds "horseshoe" can also fight against "Star of Africa".

In the process of searching for the "Star of Africa", players can choose water, air and train, and the way of travel and the amount to be paid are different. In addition, during the game, if they dig up rare gems, they will get extra money. There are three kinds of precious stones, each with a different quantity. Of course, in case of pirates, all the property will be taken away.

Alei, who just turned four at first, didn't support him at all, and he didn't have the patience to listen to these rules after playing twice. Until recently, at the age of four and eight months, he "surprised his mother" and became addicted to playing. During the summer vacation, he asked his father to play "Star of Africa" with him every day, and even invented a bunch of new games himself, which made him get money when he dug up precious stones. He was very unhappy.

Board games have opened up a new world for the whole family.

Although children like playing board games more and more, it is difficult to face "failure" at first. Every time he meets "the most precious gems have been painted away by others" and he doesn't have them, he will be very unhappy. Sometimes he even wants to "peek at the cards" first, and even cries when he loses the first game. However, every game is the best demonstration, constantly showing him that the party with the most money may not win; No matter how rich you are, you will have nothing at once when you meet pirates; If you don't have money and jewels at first, you may have great luck and even become a winner on the next flop; The duration of the game is short, sometimes he can play as long as he wants, and sometimes it's over when it's over.

Board games are almost like a microcosm of life, teaching him to face failure step by step, learn to play games and win or lose, and never know the outcome until the last moment.

These principles should be put into practice in life, even adults really can't let go. Therefore, adults actually study with children in games, and board games have opened up a new world for our family. Since Finland's "African Star" board game became Alei's "new favorite", even dad, who always sat in front of the computer, had to actively join the classic board game he bought specially for his children, which led to more fun for the whole family. Interesting board game, Xian Yi, suitable for all ages. Even if you don't "learn" anything but "play", this is the best time to play with the whole family!
