The traditional mantis boxing in China used to be called "mantis boxing", but in modern times there have been many branches: seven-star mantis boxing, plum blossom mantis boxing, Taiji mantis boxing, Liuhe mantis boxing, wrestling mantis boxing and Yuanyang mantis boxing.

? The mantis boxing I practice is called "Home Good Mantis Boxing", also called "Plum Blossom Taiji Mantis Boxing". I studied this martial arts for three years in my spare time.

? The plum blossom taiji mantis boxing in Harbin was introduced to Harbin by Cao Dekun from Shandong in 19 15, and Cao Dekun studied under Hao. Let me briefly introduce the techniques handed down from Harbin Meihua Taiji Manta Boxing.

Characteristics of plum blossom taiji mantis boxing;

Fast, compact, and technology-intensive, with both kicking skills and wrestling skills. If you don't empty your hand, you will be rewarded.

Basic skills:

There are eight styles of standing posture, and Harbin only practices riding and climbing. Other styles are all in the routine, so I don't practice alone.

Three hammers: one of the most important basic skills of plum blossom taiji mantis boxing, which is divided into three times. The first time, one punch at a time and one lunge at a time. The technical term of mantis boxing is "mountain climbing", which is divided into big mountain climbing and small mountain climbing. The second time was a series of three punches, and the third time was a series of punches from mountain climbing to horse riding.

Sanshou practice, the name of mantis boxing is "zero hand", and other schools of boxing are called "one hand".

Zero hand: point to block hand, turn upside down, copy leg, axe blade foot, Yuhuan step, nest belly hammer, meteor chasing the moon, pedal, jump, mantis hook, chain collision, etc.

Routine is divided into three levels: elementary, middle and high.

Primary routines: pointing the way, hammering, even five palms, small rollover, wiping eyebrows, and offering fruits by white apes.

The sixteen words "hard", "collapse", "solid", "smash", "come", "shout", "smooth", "stick", "lift", "take" seal "and" force "run through the whole routine system of Meihua Taiji Manta Boxing and are also the core of its boxing.

Practice method:

Learn to stand and hit three hammers first, and then learn the primary boxing to show the way. After pointing and learning, learn all the single manipulation techniques, and after a small turn, learn all the sparring movements such as picking hands and smashing five hands.

Conventional learning methods:

Every time Master taught a move, after the students became proficient, Master explained the meaning of attack and defense, and the brothers used the learned moves in actual combat. The term of mantis boxing is "grasping hammer"

? I want to use this article to commemorate the day when I studied traditional mantis boxing in Harbin, and I am especially grateful to Master Liu, Shi Niang and their families, because Master Liu has devoted a lot of time and energy to the inheritance of traditional mantis boxing. Master Liu, my teacher's mother and my family all know that it is not easy for my family to study in other places, and they also take care of me. Thank you sincerely. I hope more martial friends can have a deeper understanding of traditional mantis boxing through this article.
