University of South China has approved several provincial courses: ideological and political demonstration courses.

According to the news network of South China University, the college gives full play to the role of classroom teaching as the main channel for educating people, with the construction of provincial "first-class" courses and "golden courses" as the guide. Actively explore the new formula of ideological and political classroom teaching, actively adopt teaching methods such as case teaching, poetry teaching, reading teaching and red song teaching, actively integrate South China's "nuclear characteristics" and "medical brand" into the classroom, enhance the "gold content" of classroom teaching, and create a high-quality classroom. Obtained 1 national first-class courses, 6 provincial first-class courses and 4 provincial "golden courses" in ideological and political discipline. It can be seen that there are four provincial-level courses of ideological and political demonstration courses approved by South China University.

The School of Marxism of the University of South China began in the Marxist Teaching and Research Section in August 2000, and was formed by the merger of the former Social Science Department of Central South Institute of Technology and the former Social Science Department of Hengyang Medical College. Mainly responsible for the teaching and research of ideological and political courses for all college students. With the expansion of the school scale and the development of Marxist theory, the School of Marxism (School of Politics and Public Administration) of the University of South China was formally established in June 2006.
