The difference between bourbon barrel and oak barrel

Different raw materials have different uses.

1. Different raw materials: Bourbon barrels are made of American white oak, which must be more than 30 years old and more than 45cm in diameter, while the raw materials of oak barrels are mainly European oak and American red oak.

2. Different uses: Bourbon barrel is often used for aging whiskey because of its unique production technology and flavor, which can make the taste of whiskey more elegant and rich in aroma, while oak barrel is more used for aging wine and brandy to increase the taste and aroma.
