Can astragalus be eaten often?

7. Astragalus membranaceus can relax vascular smooth muscle, and its mechanism may be related to blocking the opening of inositol triphosphate-sensitive calcium channels on endoplasmic reticulum of vascular smooth muscle cells and inhibiting the release of calcium.
8. Raw astragalus can also promote metabolism, reduce aldose reductase activity and reduce sorbitol accumulation.
9. Alkaloids, flavonoids and glycosides contained in raw astragalus can directly inhibit and kill viruses, and can also indirectly play an antiviral role by interferon or enhancing NK cell activity.
