How does 3DMax loft an ellipse?

Lofting is one of the most traditional 3D modeling methods in 3DS MAX. I remember it was in the earliest DOS version of 3DS3.5.

The steps of lofting are as follows:

1. Create a lofting path, such as "straight line". The path is like the center line of the lofting object, that is, the connecting line of the center points of all sections of the lofting object. The path can be open or closed two-dimensional graphics.

2. Create a section shape, such as "ellipse". The section shape is the outline of the cross section of the lofting object.

3. Click Geometry/Composite Object/Loft in the Create panel.

4. Generally speaking, it is necessary to set the path step size of the lofting object larger, so that the lofting object will be smoother and more reasonable.

5. If the lofting object is deformed in the modification panel, it will be more handy when building complex objects, such as mouse and telephone microphone.
