What are the printing processes?

Normal offset printing is as follows ~ ~

1 computer graphic design

2 sheets (sheets), 3 printing, 4 printing, 5 binding, and 6 cutting finished products. The printing process is roughly like this-first make the design document, then put the film, and then stick it on the lampstand for inspection. If there is no problem, give it to the printing room for printing, and then send the PS version to the printing workshop for printing! What is printed belongs to the latter way. If you are a corrugated box maker, you have to open the corrugated box, put it on the rolling machine, paste the box, package it and deliver it!

This is the general routine operation flow, but there are also some special printing processes-technology, which I also provide to you, hoping to help you.

Special printing technology

1. Inkjet printing Inkjet printing is an efficient special printing method, which can be applied to the production line of packaging industry to quickly print production date, batch number and barcode. Because inkjet printing belongs to pressureless printing and uses various inks, it has a wide range of substrates, which can be all kinds of packaging. This undoubtedly provides great freedom for the packaging production line. At present, there are still many application fields of inkjet printing that are unknown. How to make good use of inkjet printing technology is undoubtedly a hot technical problem. As long as we use it well, I believe it can bring us unexpected results.

With the continuous progress of digital technology, inkjet printing has also developed rapidly, and some technical problems have been solved perfectly, which has made a qualitative leap in the quality of inkjet printing products. At present, some high-end inkjet printing products are close to the level of traditional printing in terms of tone gradation, clarity and color saturation. Some of its inherent advantages have also been further developed, printing speed has been accelerated and printing accuracy has been improved. Combined with the database, inkjet printing can be fully qualified for variable data printing, which brings good news for the differentiated and personalized production of packaging printed matter. If the latest JDF production standard is adopted, inkjet printing equipment can be easily integrated into the digital production process of the whole printing plant, thus achieving better equipment control and higher production efficiency. The two main characteristics of inkjet printing are "print on demand" and "personalization". These two characteristics can meet the emerging new demands of the packaging market. At present, narrow label packaging and printing production lines equipped with digital printing units are very common. Digital printing machines can be produced online with die-cutting equipment and post-press processing production lines to achieve higher quality and faster turnover speed.

2. Anti-counterfeiting printing can be said that in the field of packaging printing, anti-counterfeiting printing plays a vital role. If general products need obvious product identification, then many high-end products have to need perfect anti-counterfeiting systems. This is the need of manufacturers and consumers, so anti-counterfeiting printing is widely used in packaging and decoration products printing. With the continuous improvement of people's brand awareness and the strengthening of intellectual property protection, it is believed that anti-counterfeiting printing will have great market prospects. At present, the general situation is that many ordinary printing manufacturers do not have the ability of anti-counterfeiting printing and have to outsource orders. In many cases, such orders are more profitable than simple printing orders.

Common anti-counterfeiting methods are: laser holographic anti-counterfeiting, special ink anti-counterfeiting, plate-making printing technology anti-counterfeiting, special paper anti-counterfeiting. At present, the commonly used anti-counterfeiting methods of packaging, decoration and printing are the first three. Using laser holographic anti-counterfeiting technology, packaging products not only have intuitive anti-counterfeiting effect, but also exquisite printed patterns shine in the sun, which can attract consumers' attention. Therefore, this technology is very suitable for packaging and printing. Using special ink anti-counterfeiting technology is a low-cost method. Because generally speaking, it does not need to add additional equipment, and the transformation of the existing printing process is not great. At present, many products adopt this anti-counterfeiting technology. This technology is a good way to increase the added value of printing products, because it has less investment and quick results. The application of anti-counterfeiting technology in plate-making printing technology is a comprehensive anti-counterfeiting means, and this technology was born in response to people's demand for high-quality packaging. This anti-counterfeiting technology comprehensively uses a variety of printing equipment, and various printing processes penetrate each other and combine with each other, especially introducing some unique special printing methods. All these make the final product have strong anti-counterfeiting function. But at the same time, it also increases the production cost and complexity, and larger printing houses are more handy when applying this technology. Of course, the use of this technology will challenge the production level of the printing factory, which requires the printing factory to have high stability and precision printing equipment, perfect quality control and management system, experienced and skilled technicians, which are powerful guarantees to improve the added value of products.

In some places, special traditional printing technology has not been lost. Because few people have mastered this technology, these special printing technologies have gradually become one of the production methods of anti-counterfeiting printing, such as woodcut printing prints. Because of its antiquity and scarcity, it has also become a personalized and high value-added printing product with national characteristics.

3. Label printing Self-adhesive labels are commonly used materials in packaging and decoration industries. In China, at present, the main method of trademark printing is self-adhesive embossing. With the diversification and upscale of trademarks, other printing methods are gradually added. In this field, the emergence of advanced technology provides an advanced solution for printing system. The narrow web printing machine with modular design structure and gearless transmission mode has been put into use. All leading equipment manufacturers provide mixed production lines for label and packaging printing. This hybrid production line can be equipped with offset printing, relief printing, flexo printing, screen printing, gravure printing, digital printing unit and hot and cold stamping foil unit, which makes the hybrid production line an ideal choice for single-channel production of packaging, cartons and labels. This combined printing method can also provide anti-counterfeiting function for labels. A printing factory with label printing strength can develop label products with composite functions by improving printing materials, deepening printing technology and innovating printing means, thus winning more profits.

4. Metal products printing

Metal printing is a special substrate printing method. Because of the high cost, it is generally used for luxury packaging, so the profit is also high. At present, metal printing materials are increasing gradually, and new materials are constantly emerging. No matter which material is used, its printing technology is different from paper printing. Offset printing, transfer printing, screen printing and flexographic printing are mainly used in China. Some customers even require follow-up work such as molding after printing, which requires the printing factory to adjust the printing process in time according to different printing materials, introduce simple mechanical processing equipment, and formulate reasonable production processes. Only in this way can we achieve customer satisfaction.

5. Paper packaging and printing

This field accounts for most of the packaging and decoration printing, and it is also a field where special printing technology is less used, but we can also create more value by using innovative ideas in this field. Due to the early development, the technology of carton printing and paperboard printing is relatively mature, and most printing plants have the production capacity of this product. This field is the world of flexographic printing. At the All-India Exhibition in Shanghai, some manufacturers pointed out that flexographic printing is the future of packaging printing. Regardless of whether this formulation is accurate or not, this trend is obvious, although it is not the case in China at present.

An important factor affecting packaging printing is the trend of reducing printing volume. Short-version works are becoming more and more mainstream in orders. In this special field, flexographic printing technology is also developing rapidly, which is attributed to the emergence of new photosensitive resin printing plates that support higher screen number, CI printing machines that can achieve perfect registration and advanced digital flexographic printing systems. These factors make the tone reproduction quality of flexo printing better, and the dot gain rate also decreases. In the past 40 years, the development of flexographic printing has undergone tremendous changes. It was once considered as a simple process only suitable for printing plastic bags, but now it can compete with offset printing, gravure printing, letterpress printing and screen printing in the field of packaging and label printing. It is predicted that in the next few years, flexographic printing will occupy 38% of the European packaging printing market and 76% of the North American packaging printing market. By then, the application ratio of flexographic printing in packaging printing will reach 39%, and offset printing and gravure printing will be reduced to 36% and 15% respectively.

There are many new printing styles on the market now. It is no longer the original single white paper plus color printing, but also adds a lot of technology. First of all, from the perspective of paper, not only the original single paper has become various styles of paper, cotton paper, colored paper, coated paper, and various materials have been widely used. At the same time, a lot of printing production appeared in the later period, and technologies such as bronzing, spleen line, smoothing and UI were widely used. This technology has also become a new visual impact. Give people a sense of freshness in visual effects. The convex effect makes the picture more stereoscopic. The feeling of bronzing gives people a noble feeling. In a word, the progress of printing technology has greatly improved people's artistic appreciation ability.
