There are two points worth noting here: first, if we speculate on the views of the people of that time on the Book of Songs based on what Confucius said, the scope of what they defined as "no evil" was still quite broad. Many poems denouncing the darkness of rule and expressing the love of men and women could still be considered "innocent", i.e., legitimate expressions of feelings, as long as they did not exceed a certain limit. Secondly, nevertheless, the Book of Songs is not a mere collection of poems; it is both a cultural accumulation of the Zhou dynasty and an object of daily recitation for the aristocracy. Therefore, although it contains a number of folk songs, I am afraid that it is unlikely to contain content that positively and directly conflicts with the socially recognized political and moral principles.
The Qin dynasty once burned all Confucian texts, including the Book of Songs. However, since the Book of Poetry was easy to memorize and generally familiar to scholars, it was again circulated during the Han Dynasty. At the beginning of the Han Dynasty, there were four schools that taught the study of the Book of Poetry***: the Regulus of Qi, the Shen Pei of Lu, the Han Ying of Yan, and the Mao Heng and Mao Jang of Zhao, referred to as the Poetry of Qi, the Poetry of Lu, the Poetry of Han, and the Poetry of Mao (the first two took the name of the country, and the last two took the family name). Qi, Lu, and Han were the three families of modern scripture, an officially recognized school of thought, and Mao Poetry belonged to ancient scripture, a folk school of thought. However, after the Eastern Han Dynasty, Mao Poetry became more and more prosperous and was officially recognized; the first three families gradually declined, and in the Southern Song Dynasty, it was completely lost. The Poetry Scripture we see today is a copy of the Mao school of poetry.
Also, "Poetry 300" is one of the main textbooks in China from "Spring and Autumn" to "Qing Dynasty". I hope my answer is helpful to you(*^__^*)
