What is the massage treatment method of cervical spondylosis?

Massage therapy has nothing to do with classification. In order to prevent accidents, the treatment should be gentle. In addition to spinal stenosis caused by spondylolisthesis and disc herniation, imaging examination should be carried out first. If there is spinal stenosis, massage is absolutely not feasible. Massage therapy is effective for patients with large vertebral foramen and intervertebral foramen or soft tissue injury.

【 Therapeutic principle 】 Activating blood circulation and dredging collaterals, relaxing tendons and activating collaterals, relieving spasm and relieving pain.

【 Commonly used acupoints 】 Jiaji, Fengchi, Tianzhu, Dazhui, Shoujing, Tianzong, Quchi, Xiaohai, Waiguan and Hegu.

【 Common methods 】 Tendon relaxation method, end-lifting traction method, traction rotation method and tendon adjustment and recovery method.

[Treatment steps] 1. Tendon relaxing manipulation

The patient takes a sitting position and the operator stands behind the patient. The method is applied to three lines of the neck: the middle line of the neck from Fengfu to Dazhui, the wind pools on both sides of the neck from Jianjing point, the supraspinatus muscle and the posterior erector spinae. Press Fengchi and Fengfu points with one finger Zen, massage the ligaments and muscles on both sides of the neck several times from top to bottom, and then massage the shoulders, Tianxiu and Tianzong points.

Take Fengchi point and neck several times from top to bottom.

Wipe the cervical ligament and bilateral muscles directly, with heat penetration as the degree.

The above techniques can relax the neck muscles, dredge the meridians and joints, and prepare for treatment.

2. End-lifting traction method

The surgeon stood behind the patient, stuck his hands on the mandible and occipital region from both sides of the affected neck, and pulled upward for 2 ~ 3min.

3. Traction rotation method

This method is used for patients with rotational displacement of uncinate joint. On the basis of the above method, the assistant stands on the patient's side and holds the patient's shoulder for fixation. The surgeon stands behind the patient, holds the mandible and occipital bone with one hand, and pushes the spinous process of the affected vertebra with the other hand, telling the patient to relax his neck and rotate his head to the affected side. When he can no longer rotate, the surgeon gently pushes the displaced vertebra and can hear the "click" sound of the neck. Then rotate to the other side in the same way, and the patient feels more relaxed than at that time.

4. Reinforcement and repair methods

In the sticking method, the operator stands behind the patient, holds it with one hand, rolls the soft tissues on both sides of cervical vertebra with thenar for 5-7 times, holds the soft tissues on both sides of shoulder well and upper limb with both hands, and massages the levator scapulae and latissimus dorsi on both sides for several times.

Note: cervical manipulation should not be rude, and violence, brute force and excessive manipulation are prohibited. Old people should avoid pulling. In addition, the cervical traction weight should be appropriate, pay attention to the physiological curve of the neck, and determine the flexion angle according to the specific situation of each patient.
