Birthday wishes letter format?
The header includes the address of the writer and the date of the letter, and is usually written in the upper right corner of the letterhead. The address of the writer can often be omitted in the case of correspondence between friends who know each other better. The letterhead in this lesson contains only the date of the letter, not the address of the writer. The date is usually written in the following two ways:
(a) month, day, year: August 15, 200__
(b) day, month, year: 15th august, 200__
Addresses are usually written in ascending order, such as: house number, street name, city (county) name, province, country (the postal code is usually written in the city name). (After the postal code is usually written in the city name). This is the exact opposite of the way addresses are written in Chinese letters. Address can be written 1 to 3 lines, the date is written below the address (see letterhead format).
B Salutation
Salutation refers to the name of the letter writer to the recipient, such as Dear Xiaojun, written at the bottom of the letter head and the left side of the letterhead. Addresses usually begin with Dear... or My dear... and are usually followed by a comma.
C Body
This is the main part of the letter, that is, what the writer wants to express. The body of the letter requires smooth text, clear hierarchy, and clear expression. It can be handwritten or typed.
D Complimentary Close www.170xue.com
It is a compliment at the end of the letter, equivalent to the final "good luck", "salute" and so on. The words "good day" and "salutations" at the end of a letter are the same as those in the text. In this lesson, "Best wishes" is the closing phrase of a letter.
E Signature
A signature is usually signed in the center-right position underneath the closing statement, as in Charlie's letter in this lesson. It should be written in your own handwriting, and even if the letter is typed on a typewriter, it still needs to be signed at the end. Above the signature can be written Sincerely yours/Yours sincerely (for between elders or friends), or Respectfully yours/Yours respectfully (for elders or superiors), depending on the relationship between the writer and the recipient.
