What are the manifestations of male sexual orientation deviation and can it be corrected?

-People with ambiguous sexual orientation should not be hypnotized and self-reinforced by "homosexuals" collectively.

Homosexuality is an ancient topic. From ancient times to modern times, from the west to the east, from animals to humans, homosexuality has been widespread. At present, medical research believes that homosexuals may have changed at a certain point in the chromosome or the structure and function of the brain, so it is reasonable for people to think that there is a "third sex" in society, that is, "homosexuals". Therefore, "comrades" in many countries have been fighting for legal "rights".

As a psychologist who has worked for nearly 20 years and engaged in psychological consultation and treatment 10 years, I always attach importance to both biological factors and social psychological factors when facing visitors.

From a biological point of view, I do not deny the existence of homosexuality, but also support its legitimacy. It is reported that there are at least 100 homosexuals in China. Some people think that homosexuality is reasonable and does not need treatment, but needs understanding and acceptance. However, after I deeply contacted several homosexuals and their families, my views changed. I doubt whether there are so many homosexuals. A considerable number of homosexuals are not really homosexuals. Partly because of early sexual trauma (such as child molestation, etc. ), or because I failed to establish a relationship with the opposite sex when I was growing up, I found a sense of security and comfort in getting along with the same sex, and finally I was hypnotized by the legal term "homosexuality" or controlled by real homosexuals. Like heterosexual sex, in the critical age of sexual psychological development before puberty, the pleasure of homosexual sex not only strengthens homosexual behavior, but also strengthens the gay role of individuals. There are also some people who temporarily establish same-sex attachment relationships just to escape loneliness, make up for interpersonal barriers, or relieve psychological pressure. For those non-biological true homosexuals, many people have the need to return to normal sexual orientation, and psychological and behavioral therapy for sexual orientation correction is of great significance to their individuals, families and society. However, some homosexuals are controlled or hypnotized too deeply, lack understanding of the nature of their same-sex behavior, play the wrong gender role, delay their youth and family, and take it for granted.

Gay lifestyle is regarded as an attitude and lifestyle. I support the freedom of individual to choose lifestyle, and everyone will choose the most suitable and comfortable lifestyle. However, the freedom to choose life should not be an excuse to escape from reality and responsibility. People are social people. We live for ourselves and for others (parents, etc.). ). Unreasonable growth environment makes us unreasonable beings, but some people are willing to be hypnotized by the seemingly reasonable term "homosexuality" because we don't have to face childhood trauma or change. I don't want to change the freedom of gay sexual orientation. I just want to remind some homosexuals that they actually have a chance to make changes. With a little effort, they can live another wonderful life.

The homosexuals who came to consult me came by themselves, accompanied by their parents, and also came by their parents alone. It can be roughly divided into two categories: 1. Some homosexuals are forcibly brought here by their parents. Their homosexual tendencies are firm and they fully accept their roles. Only their parents want to change. 2. There are also some homosexuals who are mainly forced by society or parents to try to change their sexual orientation, but they are addicted to same-sex behavior.

After in-depth contact with many homosexuals, I found that the experience of visiting homosexuals is different, but it can be roughly divided into the following categories:

Visitor A: A 14-year-old girl, a student, whose father forced her to consult. Visitors don't like being a girl since childhood, but they begin to develop in adolescence, but they still deny their role as a girl. Boys dress up carefully, wear short jeans and try their best to tighten their newly developed breasts. They like to associate with girls and hate men. Normal growth and development, no trauma in childhood and adolescence, harmonious family relationship, parents prefer sons to daughters in the growing environment, and have no experience of raising them as boys.

Visitor B: Male, 365,438+0 years old, coming from the countryside to work in the city. Due to the pressure of his parents' urging marriage, he also had the desire to change his wrong sexual orientation. Private prosecution once had a brief affection for girls, and has been focusing on same-sex, kind and educated elders since junior high school, until now. Repeatedly questioning the growth experience, the visitor recalled that he had a good impression on the same sex, which was related to an incident that happened in his childhood. When the visitor was about 10 years old (early youth), by chance, a middle-aged strange man who was very friendly and kind to him touched him and asked him to give him oral sex. Visitors were scared, curious and excited. Since then, tourists have become interested in the same sex, especially for older, kind and knowledgeable men. When I was in junior high school, I began to secretly love male teachers and peek at the teacher taking a bath. Make male friends, have same-sex sexual behavior, and want to correct their sexual orientation because of family pressure.

Visitor C: Male, 18 years old, senior three student, studying abroad. I once had a girlfriend in junior high school who said that I was just trying to save face and didn't have much interest in girls. I think kissing the opposite sex is disgusting. I like to see tall and handsome men. Don't think you are gay. I once accidentally watched a movie about homosexuality, and found that two men could live like this, and began to doubt whether they were gay or not. Visitors discovered the world of homosexuality through the Internet and found that homosexuality is legal in many countries. They think they are gay and try to prove their feelings by making same-sex friends online. After my mother found out, I took her to consult. According to his mother's supplement, visitors have been raised as girls since childhood, and have been studying, living and playing with girls since they grew up in high school. At home, the mother is strong, the father is weak and passive, and basically ignores visitors. Visitors said that they hated some habits of girls and thought it was easier to live with boys.

Visitor D: 23-year-old, female, college student, introverted and shy since childhood, rarely associate with the opposite sex. In junior high school, she has several good sisters, who are inseparable all day. In senior high school, she is under great study pressure and has little communication with men and women. She is with a good girlfriend all day, and she thinks she is gay. When she entered the university, her study pressure eased. When a boy pursued her, she began to fall in love and found that she was actually heterosexual.

Based on the above four situations, Visitor A has no obvious environmental inducement, which may be related to biological factors and is a true homosexual. The same-sex sexual orientation of visitors may be related to their sexual trauma in early adolescence. Teenagers in this age group are in the period of establishing self-identity, including gender identity. This aggression in sexual psychological enlightenment, coupled with the accompanying sexual excitement and pleasure, strengthens the same-sex attachment behavior, makes it more focused on the same sex, and at the same time hinders its ability to communicate with the opposite sex. Visitor C's homosexual behavior is more related to his growing environment. He was raised by a girl when he was a child, and his mother was stronger at home. Since childhood, girls have been playing and studying around him, so visitors assimilate more female roles, and at the same time generalize their dislike of the bad habits of the opposite sex (including mothers and companions) to the whole opposite sex. But I was not very clear about my sexual orientation. I didn't doubt whether I was gay until I saw a movie about homosexuality. I verified my feelings by making friends with the same sex. Visitor C is actually an identity obstacle caused by environmental factors, and its denial of the opposite sex is more a subconscious reflection of the failure to establish a relationship with the opposite sex (including mother and companion). In addition, the recognition of homosexual behavior in some countries in society is a collective hint to those individuals whose sexual psychology has just begun to enlighten, which enhances the self-awareness of the gay role of visitors. Subsequently, the sexual excitement and pleasure between the same sex strengthened the sense of identity with this homosexual behavior. For visitors, the temporary same-sex attachment is purely caused by environmental factors, which is usually related to factors such as introversion, lack of heterosexual communication environment and great pressure. After the environment improves, this same-sex attachment relationship will end, but it does not rule out that one party in this temporary same-sex attachment relationship is a real homosexual, and he/she may control and hinder the other party from making friends with the opposite sex, which on the one hand reduces the opportunity for the other party to make friends with the opposite sex, on the other hand strengthens this opportunity.

Among the many visitors, I read a lot of parents' pain, regret and regret, and deeply understood the loneliness, depression and helplessness of many homosexuals. I respect everyone's lifestyle. As a psychologist, I am also willing to help those who are willing to change. Although some people abroad have done conversion therapy for homosexuality, its therapy and effect have been questioned. Some biologists believe that homosexuality is determined by genes. For example, Ding Hanmo of the National Cancer Institute of the United States found that homosexuals and people with homosexual tendencies have a gene named Xq28 at the top of the long arm of their X chromosome, which determines the homosexual orientation of people. Odenwood, a researcher at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), also proved the existence of gay gene through homosexual behavior of male fruit flies. In addition, the researchers found that the brains of gay men are similar to those of heterosexual women, but different from those of heterosexual men. All these support that homosexuality is difficult to be reformed from a biological point of view. Therefore, 1973, American Psychiatric Association and 200 1, China excluded homosexuality from their respective diagnostic classification of mental diseases (DSM-IV, CCMD-3). Moreover, some experts believe that it is immoral to treat homosexuals with sexual orientation conversion.

So, as I mentioned earlier, I don't want to change true homosexuality. However, some former victims (individuals who were sexually assaulted or influenced by the growth environment in early adolescence) or individuals whose temporary same-sex attachment is still under the hypnotic control or self-reinforcement of homosexuality have the right to know their true selves and need necessary help to choose a more correct lifestyle. As Robert Perlov, president of American Psychological Association from 65438 to 0985, said, the existing research is not comprehensive, and some research results are still controversial; Some homosexuals really want to change their sexual orientation, so we should first respect and listen to their wishes.

At present, Dr. Peng Hongjun, from the Clinical Psychology Department of Guangzhou Brain Hospital, is developing a technology "cognitive behavior correction technology of sexual orientation combined with conditional regression of sight, hearing and taste combined with eye movement desensitization", which may have a good effect on homosexuals who need to change due to long-term trauma or environmental factors.
