What is sanxian?

Sanxian, also known as Sanxian, is a traditional plucked instrument in China.

The origin of Sanxian is still uncertain. It is said that Sanxian originated from Xianqi in Qin and Han Dynasties. The name of Sanxian first appeared in Jiaofang Ji written by Cui Lingqin in Tang Dynasty, but its shape is not described in detail.

Structure

Zhang Sanxian, hence the name Sanxian, which is divided into piano head, neck and body. The neck is a fingerboard, which is relatively long. The piano body is covered with snake skin on both sides. In the 192s, three strings were added, but they were not popular.
