Then we can screw back the drain valve.

There should be a rubber pad on the screw before screwing it back. This rubber pad must be in good condition, otherwise the water heater will leak when screwed back. If the rubber pad is damaged, you can directly buy a new rubber pad to replace it.

Professional cleaning.

When cleaning professionally, it is necessary to remove the water heater as a whole. That is, after cleaning the water in the water heater, remove the water heater and open it to face the right side of the water heater. There is a plastic cover on the right. This plastic cover plate is fixed with screws, and the cover plate can be removed by unscrewing the screws.

After removing the cover, you can see the motherboard and heating rod inside. The motherboard flashed aside. The heating rod is fixed by four screws. After removing the fixing screw of the heating rod, the heating rod can be taken out. Then clean the scale on the heating rod, and don't remove it directly with sharp tools. White vinegar should be used to soak the scale of the heating rod directly. After the scale falls off directly, you can clean the heating rod with clean water.

After the heating rod is taken out, we can see the inside of the water heater liner more intuitively. Connect a water pipe with tap water and directly flush the inside of the water heater from the inlet of the heating rod. Rinse it clean.

Then we will open the left cover facing the water heater. There are four fixing screws in the same place as the heating rod. These four fixing screws fix the installation position of the magnesium rod. Remove the screw so that the magnesium rod can be pulled out later. Put on a new magnesium rod. Then screw it back.

Then we can just screw the heating rod back. Put the lid on and reinstall the water heater. Be careful not to turn on electricity. Open the water valve first, and then turn the shower head of the water heater to the boiling water end to be in an open state. Fill the water heater with water before electrifying.
