What are the main aspects of rehabilitation training for deaf children? What are the contents of each?

The rehabilitation training for deaf children is mainly carried out from four aspects, which are:

(1) Hearing training: it is the process of letting the deaf children recognize, pay attention to, identify, remember, understand and form concepts of sound repeatedly. It consists of three parts: sound stimulation, musical stimulation, and sound recognition training.

(2) Sound construction training: Deaf children cannot acquire normal speech like normal children due to the existence of hearing impairment, and generally have problems with sound construction. Pronunciation training can help deaf children to realize the essence of pronunciation, master pronunciation skills, develop correct attention habits, and lay a solid foundation for them to speak every word clearly and fluently. Pronunciation training can be divided into the following eight parts: breathing training, tongue training, mouth training, nasal training, voice training, phoneme training, phonetics training, and four-sound training.

(3) Language training: it includes the cultivation of comprehensible language and the training of expressive language. Comprehension is the basis of expression, and understanding precedes expression.

(4) Adjustment of language environment: Adjustment of the language environment according to the age and developmental stage of the children can make the language ability gained from the training to be effectively applied in daily life, and can form a richer language ability through various activities.
