Straight Racket Grip Method Pictures

Straight Racket Fast Attack Type

1. Front: press the racket with the second knuckle of the index finger and the first knuckle of the thumb. The distance between the thumb and index finger should be moderate.

2. Reverse: The other three fingers are naturally bent and the first knuckle of the middle finger is pressed against the back of the racket.

Difference between horizontal and straight paddles

Straight paddle: Both the forehand and the backhand hit the ball with the same side, without switching sides. The forehand attack is fast, powerful and flexible, and it can be used to attack the ball continuously, to control the slow, to control the turn, and to force the cross-court player to chip the ball and wait for the opportunity to snap the ball with a strong topspin, so most of the players who are holding the straight racket are mainly attacking. However, due to the limitations of the grip, in the alternate use of attacking and chipping, the grip fingering changes, often affecting the accuracy of the ball, not as comfortable as the combination of offense and defense of the cross-court racket.

Horizontal racket: When using the horizontal racket for chipping or attacking in the same direction, there is not much change in fingering, so it is easy to attack and good at defending, and is suitable for the all-around play of combining attacking and chipping. And with the horizontal racket grip of the care of the surface, both slow and fast, soft to overcome the hard, the use of downward spin ball suppression of the straight racket to kill, in order to force the angle, change the line to disrupt the grip of the straight racket athletes of the foot, so the traditional horizontal racket athletes are to use the main chip or a combination of attacking and chipping method of play. In recent years, racquet players have even developed the forehand and backhand arc ball playing style, which has made a great breakthrough in the traditional playing style of the racquet. However, the biggest problem with the horizontal racket is that when hitting the incoming balls from the left and right corners, you have to rotate the front and back sides to hit the ball, so the speed of hitting the ball is not as fast as that of the straight racket.
