Similarly, long periods of time parked in cold environments can adversely affect the performance of the battery pack.

Hybrid vehicles should not be overcharged, overdischarged or undercharged, which can shorten battery life. If the meter light is on, it should be charged as soon as possible, otherwise over-discharging the battery will affect its life.
