Is the black in the crock poisonous?
The black inside the crock is not poisonous. Black is a glaze, which is harmless to the body. Bowls, plates and pots widely used in life are mostly glazed.
1. Glaze is a continuous glassy layer attached to the surface of ceramic body, or a mixed layer of glass body and crystal.
2. Glaze is made of calcium-containing stones and charcoal ash used in ancient stone cooking. Inspired by the beautiful texture of the shell surface, it is consciously made of shell powder.
