What are the problems in the traditional logistics management of Microsoft?

Traditional logistics management has three shortcomings:

(1) The inventory buffer in the traditional supply chain causes some products of manufacturers and retailers to be out of stock, which is also the reason why other links in the supply chain are out of stock. In the supply chain, if the storage and inventory points of each enterprise are inconsistent, the inventory problem will expand. Because every participant in the supply chain has inventory, coupled with the mistakes of inventory management and the mutual influence of all links in the supply chain, when the goods reach the last link of the supply chain, the inventory level has little to do with the actual demand of the goods.

(2) The slowness of distribution channels in the traditional market is inherent, because the reorder process in the supply chain is out of line, which can not meet the sales demand of hot-selling products.

(3) Business processing lags behind traditional logistics management, and the product processing method is single. If the inventory levels of volatile products and non-volatile products are similar and distributed through the same logistics network, the turnover and circulation of goods will be slower.
