There are many categories of engines:
Classification by fuel: diesel engine, gasoline engine.

According to cooling methods: water-cooled engine, air-cooled engine.

Arranged by cylinder: vertical engine, V engine, B engine, W engine, star engine.
According to cylinder material: aluminum alloy engine, cast iron engine.
