What festival is June 6th in Lindong Village, Jiudao, Liping, Guizhou?

June 6th in Luding Village, Jiuchao, Liping, Guizhou Province is a "new flavor festival" or a "sunny day". Many Dong villages make zongba on this day, also known as Zongba Festival.

Lindong Village is located 20 kilometers northwest of Jiuchao Town, Liping County. It has jurisdiction over 3 natural villages, 8 villagers' groups, 358 households, 1693 people. The whole village is Wu Dong, and 90% of the houses are made of wood, which is a typical traditional Dong village. The village is connected to Tongla Village in Jiuchao Town in the east, to Yin Gao Village in Jiuchao Town in the north, and to Zaima Town and Zhaihao Town in Rongjiang County in the southwest.

The village is rich in forest resources, rich in ethnic customs and colorful festivals. There are bull-running festival, Lusheng Festival, June 6th and July 30th throughout the year, among which June 6th is the most grand, typical, rich in plot and dazzling in national style.

On June 6th, all married (far-married) daughters will take their husbands and children back to their parents' homes, and take candy and special products to pay homage to show filial piety and visit relatives and friends.
