Chashan Town is located in the north-central part of Dongguan, on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, with a total area of 45.4 square kilometers. It is a town with a comprehensive strength of 1,000, a national civilized town, a national health town, a famous food town in China, a provincial garden town, a provincial ecological town, a provincial education town and a provincial science and technology innovation town.

Chashan Town is wide from east to west and narrow from north to south, showing a "convex" shape. The distance from east to west is 1 1.3km, and the distance from north to south is 7.4km. The whole area is hilly, with rivers (Hanxi River and Nanshe Mountain) in the north and south, which is Putian. The undulating hills in the middle are dry land and the hills are potholes. The establishment and evolution of Chashan Town;

Chashan has a long history. In Liang Wudi (503-5 15), monks built Yanta Temple in Tieluling and planted tea along the mountain. In the twentieth year of the Republic of China (193 1), local autonomy was implemented with counties as units. At that time, Dongguan County was divided into eleven districts, and Chashan was the sixth district. 1949, People's Republic of China (PRC) was founded; Chashan belongs to the fifth district, and Chashan Township has jurisdiction over 29 villages. 1953, Chashan turns to Area 2.

On June 30th 1954, Chashan in the second district was changed into a township. On February 26th, 1957, 1957, big townships were established, and district system and township system were abolished. 19581010.6, Shilong People's Commune was established to administer Chashan. On June 29th, 1859 Chashan was set aside from Shilong Commune and the Chashan People's Commune was established separately.

1968 Chashan Commune was renamed the Revolutionary Committee of Chashan People's Commune during the Cultural Revolution. In July 1982, Chashan Commune was renamed Chashan District Office. 1987, Chashan District Office was renamed Chashan Town People's Government, which governed the original townships (except West Lake).
