What temperature is suitable for fishing in winter?

The weather is changeable after winter, and it may start to cool down the next sunny day, which should be a common phenomenon. Two months ago, I shared an article saying that we can't choose "good" weather for autumn fishing because of the influence of the average temperature and pressure in autumn. In winter, the air pressure is generally high, so it is not greatly affected by the air pressure.

Good weather in winter yields a lot.

But as far as winter is concerned, what we usually call good weather performs well in most cases, but there may be some bad weather that we think will also produce some good results! Today, I will take stock of the weather suitable for fishing in winter, which is basically applicable to both north and south. Some fishermen may think that they can only fish on Saturday and Sunday, regardless of the weather. In fact, as long as you want to fish, you can go fishing for two or three hours when there are fish after work!

Fishing weather is very important in winter.

The day before the temperature drops and the day before.

This is a cliche. If the temperature drops suddenly, you can pack up your fishing gear and go fishing when you see the weather forecast. Especially on the day when the temperature drops, you will find that the water temperature is higher than the temperature. At this time, cold air will gradually cool the water in the upper layer, and fish will hardly stay in the upper layer at this time. Because the density of cold water is relatively high, it will sink and produce convection, so that the fish in the water can feel it, and there is a sense of urgency: it is going to cool down soon, so hurry to eat something and find a place to go in winter.

You can't fish too deep or too shallow in this weather. It's best to find a place where the depth is combined, because fish don't feed in too shallow a place, and it's more troublesome to swim to deep water when it's cold. The deep and shallow two-way ridges are closer to the shore, and there is more food. It is easier to gather nests by feeding back and forth against the bottom of the ridges. The ideal is: the junction of the grass beach and the big water surface, the intersection of the water inlet and the big water surface, the birch tip beside the big bay and so on.

There were a lot of catches on the day when the temperature dropped.

The second and third consecutive days of fine weather.

If it is the first sunny day, the catch may not be ideal, because the temperature and surface water temperature have not come up yet. But sunlight penetrating the bottom of the water will send a signal to the fish: it will be sunny, so get ready to come out and find a warm place to feed! The fish in the water will be ready to move at this time, but they will wait.

As long as the weather is fine the next day, the fish will go to the grass beach, the edge of the ridge, under the cattail grass and other places that take the lead in warming up to play and feed. Especially on the third or fourth day of continuous sunny days, the fish are the most. It can be said that the longer the continuous sunny days in winter, the better fishing. It's just that continuous sunny days are not common. It is cloudy in most cases in winter.

Remember to look for grass beaches in this weather. The more grass, the better. Just don't go to places where the water is not deep but the grass is particularly thick. The ideal place is: among reeds, under fallen cattails, where water plants are paved. If water hyacinth is stationed for a long time, it will produce fish. As for the water depth of about 80CM-2m, it is more suitable. It is worth noting that it is best to use live bait for continuous sunny days.

Fish are active in continuous sunny days.

The day of light snow.

It's usually not too cold on a light snow day. On the contrary, it may be a little abnormal before it snows.
