Recently, the Shijiazhuang Municipal People's Government issued a "notice on the issuance of Shijiazhuang commercial street (district) construction standards".

The details are as follows:

In order to implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress on promoting consumption upgrading, fostering new growth points in the field of medium- and high-end consumption, and forming new kinetic energy, on the basis of the original "Shijiazhuang Characteristic Commercial Street Area Construction Standards", combined with the Ministry of Commerce's "Pilot Evaluation Indicators for the Reconstruction and Improvement of Pedestrian Streets (2019 Edition)", the development of the present standards.

This standard is used to guide the development of commercial streets (districts) in our city, standardize the construction and management of commercial streets (districts), and at the same time lay the foundation for the creation of provincial and even national commercial streets (districts) transformation and upgrading of the pilot.

The overall requirements for the construction of commercial streets are as follows:

Scientific planning, rational positioning. Combined with the city of Shijiazhuang and the counties (cities, districts) urban planning and commercial network planning requirements, the city's commercial street (district) construction, a clear commercial street (district), the functional positioning, scale of the industry and development goals.

Specialties of commercial streets (districts) are determined according to local conditions. Open space. The length of the block should be 300-1500 meters, the width of 10-30 meters. Block width and street building height ratio of 1:1-1:1.5 is appropriate. The street building should be 1-2 floors, and the local main store can reach 3-6 floors. The length of the night market is generally 300-500 meters, and the operation mode is suitable for not occupying the city road. The commercial floor area in the commercial street (district) should not be less than 20,000 square meters. The shape can be diversified, with grid and three-dimensional development conditions.

Convenient transportation. There is a subway station or bus stop within 500 meters of the block, and there are cab stands and non-motorized parking spots within 100 meters. Smoothly connected to the road slowing system of neighboring roads, with ground-level sidewalks connected, or underpasses, overpasses, air corridors connected, walking comfort, convenience and safety. Supporting parking spaces in the neighborhood shall be not less than 1 per 100 square meters of commercial floor area. Pedestrian street (area) should be isolated from traffic arteries, prohibit or short time limit motor vehicles and non-motorized vehicles.
