What are the world civilization systems?

Civilization system (cultural system) refers to the culture (civilization) created by a nation or several ethnic groups, which lasts for a long time, is uninterrupted, has great influence, has a relatively stable and unified foundation and distinctive colors, and can form its own independent system.

There are six major cultural systems in world history: China, Indian, Babylonian, Egyptian, Greek and later Arab Islamic cultures.

Among them, the ancient Indian and Cuban Babylonian culture has been interrupted and replaced by Arab Islamic culture; With the spread and development of ancient Greek civilization, Latin and Germanic cultural systems were derived.

Therefore, there are four major cultural systems in the world today:

1, China's cultural system: including China and Japanese and Vietnamese influenced by China culture; This is the main body of oriental wisdom and one of the most important components of world civilization. Although there are some cultural differences among China, Japan and Korea, they have a lot in common through the ages, such as piano, chess, calligraphy and painting, and almost all have the same artistic characteristics.

2. Indian cultural system: including India and Sri Lanka.

3. Arab Islamic cultural system: including Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Egypt and other Islamic countries.

4. Greek cultural system: including 1) Latin cultural system, such as Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, etc. 2) Germanic cultural system, such as Germany, Britain and other central and northern European countries.

In the history of the development of world civilization, oriental civilization has made extremely brilliant achievements.

From the pre-dynasty period in 4000 BC to the establishment of Ptolemy Dynasty in the third century BC, the civilization of ancient Egypt lasted for nearly 4000 years, leaving us with magnificent temples and immortal pyramids.

From 3000 BC to the 6th century BC, the new Babylonian kingdom perished in Persia, and the civilization of the two river basins lasted for 2000 years, which not only left us the world-famous code of hammurabi, but also made great achievements in mathematics and astronomy. The "Hanging Garden" built by Nebuchadnezzar II for his princess has made countless westerners yearn for it.

The achievements of modern social science research show that most of the technological inventions that led to the modern industrial civilization in Europe originated in China. From Professor Needham's History of Science and Technology in China, we can know how the countless inventions of our ancestors, represented by the four great inventions, spread to distant Europe and built a bridge to industrial civilization for them.

From the demise of the Roman Empire in the late 5th century to the Renaissance in the 6th century/kloc-0, when the European continent was in the long night of ignorance, division, poverty and turbulence in the Middle Ages, in the Far East, China people in the Yellow River valley were creating prosperity in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. Indians in the Indus Valley decorated their beautiful land with their great arts and myths. The Bedouins in Arabian Peninsula, under the banner of Allah, are leaping forward and opening an Wan Li empire. ...

In the past, eastern culture was the root of western culture; Today, westerners are in a serious opposition between man and nature, and they are going further and further on the extreme road of pursuing material wealth. Orientals have opened their own treasure houses and provided inexhaustible spiritual food for the West.
