Introduction of Qing Bow
The Qing bow, in general, refers to a traditional Chinese bow that was brought to the Middle Kingdom by the Manchus with the entry of the Qing Dynasty. The international name for the Qing bow is the Manchurian bow or Manchu bow. The Qing bow is characterized by a long, reverse curved tip, a string pad at the base of the tip, and a body made of cow horn, wood, and ox sinew. Therefore, the Qing bow is a sinew and horn recurve compound bow. The design of the Qing bow makes it possible to make a large pull, which can be used to shoot heavy arrows to compete with early gunpowder weapons.
