What is a famous British tourist attraction called a bridge?
It is the Tower Bridge of London.
Tower Bridge (Tower Bridge), is an upper open suspension bridge, located in London, England, across the River Thames, due to the Tower of London (Tower of London) near the name, from the Thames estuary counted from the first bridge (the Thames **** built on the bridge 15), but also a symbol of London. The bridge was built in 1886 and opened to the public on June 30, 1894, connecting the north and south parts of London as a whole.
In the second half of the 19th century, the rising commercial development of London's East End drove demand for a new bridge across the Thames downstream of London Bridge.
But the bridge could not be built as a conventional fixed bridge because it would cut off the port facilities that existed at the time between London Bridge and the Tower of London, and if the new bridge was too low, boats would not be able to reach the docks.
A footpath under the Thames was opened in 1870, but it still could not replace the need for a new bridge.
