On the names of ethnic minorities ....
I am from A Qiang, and most ethnic minorities have their own languages and names. Although most of them are bilingual in Chinese and ethnic autonomous areas, the name column on the ID card is written in Chinese, so some of them are transliterated. However, it is difficult to pronounce transliterated names word for word in Chinese, so some ethnic minorities adopt China people for communication convenience. Han people usually take it from home when they are young, or from teachers or themselves after learning. Of course, some ethnic minorities in China are basically the same as the Han nationality.
