Experience of reading the second chapter of Project Teaching Method
During the summer vacation, the teachers in the studio recommended by President Chao read the book Project Teaching Method, and I began to really understand PBL, a new teaching strategy. This teaching strategy has fundamentally changed the traditional teacher-centered teaching method, and the student-centered teaching method is more innovative. Teacher PBL is no longer an expert who is responsible for imparting knowledge and knowing everything, but a well-informed guide, a guide to learning and a guide to the whole inquiry process. This also brings new challenges to teachers.
The second chapter of this book introduces in detail how to design and plan PBL.
Regarding how to design PBL, it is obviously very difficult for us beginners to design a project by our own ability. We don't have the creativity to design independently, so we can't start. The editor's suggestion of "learning from and upgrading" is the fastest and most effective method, that is, learning from and upgrading an idea of other teachers or other projects to adapt it to your classroom. Of course, we should look at these projects critically and make sure that they cover all the elements of the gold standard PBL. Refer to other teachers' designs that you think are good or students are interested in, modify them, and make improvements and innovations in activities. As for the design of the project, there are other methods besides reference and improvement, such as: you can also listen to the students' speeches and grasp the questions that students are interested in; With the help of headlines, grasp the hot issues that everyone pays attention to; Students may show greater interest in linking projects with popular culture; Start with enthusiasm, because your enthusiasm is another source of inspiration for PBL; You can also design with students. Only when the design is completed can the plan be further developed. Then when planning the project, we should focus on the seven elements of the core project design.
I haven't finished reading this book, and I need to read it again and again in many places to understand it a little. But from the book, I really see what changes will be brought to students by using PBL teaching strategy in teaching. This is the talent who really adapts to the future society.
